Privacy Policy for Puff Pals Dance Party Merge

This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile application Puff Pals Dance Party (“the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles your information. The App is published by Joshua Howard, an individual developer.
Short version: Puff Pals Dance Party Merge is a single-player, fully offline game. It does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. It has no user accounts, no login, and no analytics or tracking. The small amount of gameplay data it saves (such as your high scores) stays on your own device.

1. Information we do not collect
We want to be direct about this. Puff Pals Dance Party Merge does not collect, store on our servers, or transmit any of the following:
– Your name, email address, phone number, or any other contact details.
– Account credentials — we operate no accounts of our own and never ask you to sign up. (The App does use Apple’s Game Center, which signs in with the Apple Account already on your device. See section 5.)
– Location data.
– Your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA) or any other cross-app tracking identifier.
– Contacts, photos, calendar, microphone, or camera data.
– Usage analytics, crash telemetry, or behavioral profiles.
The App does not communicate with any server operated by us. There is no backend of ours.
The App does talk to Apple’d Game Center service to record scores and achievements — see section 5. The in-App scoreboard simply labels your own row “You”; we never request a name or profile.
2. Information stored on your device
Puff Pals Dance Party Merge saves your game progress locally on your device only, using your device’s standard on-device storage (Apple’s app preferences / local storage). This includes:
– Best scores and recent-run history.
– Achievements you’ve unlocked.
– Your in-progress saved game.
– In-game virtual items — your coin wallet, “Treats” charge, and any equipped cosmetic themes.
– Your settings (for example, whether haptics are on or off).
This information is not accessible to us and is never sent to any server of ours. Apart from the scores and achievements you send to Apple’s Game Center (section 3), it does not leave your device. It is not personal information and cannot be used to identify you.
3. Game Center
The App uses Apple Game Center for leaderboards and achievements. If you are signed in to Game Center on your device, the App sends:
– Your score at the end of a run, to three leaderboards (all-time, weekly and daily).
– Which achievements you have earned, and progress toward them.
This is handled entirely by Apple. We do not operate these leaderboards, we do not receive a copy of the data, and we cannot see who you are — the App only ever sees the nickname and player identifier that Apple chooses to provide. Apple’s handling of Game Center data is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy and by your Game Center settings.
You can opt out completely. Sign out of Game Center in iOS : Settings → Game Center, or decline the sign-in prompt. The App remains fully playable: your scores, achievements and progress continue to be tracked on your device exactly as described in section 2, and nothing is sent anywhere.
Please note that Game Center is a social service run by Apple. Scores and achievements you post may be visible to your Game Center friends.
4. Haptics
The App uses your device’s built-in vibration/haptics engine to provide physical feedback during play. This does not involve collecting or transmitting any data, and you can turn haptics off in the in-game Settings.
5. Advertising and in-app purchases
As of this version, Puff Pals Dance Party Merge does not display third-party advertising and does not offer in-app purchases — the in-game coin economy and cosmetic themes are earned entirely through play and are stored only on your device.
If a future version of the App introduces in-app purchases or advertising, we will update this Privacy Policy and the App’s App Store privacy details before those features go live, and we will describe any data practices they involve at that time. Any purchases would be processed by Apple through the App Store; we would never receive or store your payment card details.
6. Third-party services
Puff Pals Dance Party Merge does not embed third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking software.
The one external service the App uses is Apple Game Center, for leaderboards and achievements (see section 3). It is provided by Apple and governed by Apple’s privacy policy, not ours.
Because the App is distributed through Apple’s App Store, Apple may collect certain information in connection with downloading, installing, purchasing, and updating apps, as described in Apple’s own privacy policy. 7. Tracking (App Tracking Transparency)
Puff Pals Dance Party Merge does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies, and it does not access your device’s advertising identifier. For this reason, you will not see an App Tracking Transparency (“Allow [App] to track…”) prompt.
8. Children’s privacy
Puff Pals Dance Party Merge is a general-audience game rated suitable for ages 4 and up. It is not specifically directed at children under 13, but because the App collects no personal information from anyone, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
No account is created and no data is transmitted off the device for users of any age. If you believe a child has somehow provided us personal information, please contact us — though as described above, we do not have any mechanism that would receive it.
9. Data retention and deletion
Because all game data is stored locally on your device and never sent to us, you are always in control of it:
– Use Settings → Reset progress inside the App to erase your saved scores, achievements, savegame, coins, and treats. This clears the copy on your device; scores and achievements you have already posted to Game Center are kept, because they are held by Apple, not by us.
– Deleting the App from your device removes all of its locally stored data.
– To clear your Game Center record, use Game Center itself (iOS **Settings → Game Center**) — we have no ability to do it for you.
We do not retain any copy of this data, because we never receive it in the first place.
10. Security
Since Puff Pals Dance Party Merge stores data only on your device and transmits nothing to us, there is no server-side data for us to secure or expose. On-device data is protected by your device’s own operating-system protections (for example, your passcode and device encryption).
11. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) — including rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights.
Puff Pals Dance Party Merge does not collect or process personal information, so in practice there is no personal data held by us to access, correct, or delete. We do not sell or share persona information. You can remove all locally stored game data at any time using the steps in Section 8. 12. International users
The App runs entirely on your device wherever you are. Because we do not collect or transfer personal data, there is no international transfer of your personal information to us.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, if we add new features. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where the changes are significant (such as introducing advertising or purchases), update the App’s App Store privacy information accordingly. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
